I’m an Ocado customer. I’m not classified by the Government as Clinically Extremely Vulnerable but somebody in my household is

Like all supermarkets across the UK, we have received an edited version of the Government’s shield list of people who are Clinically Extremely Vulnerable to Coronavirus and who have also signed up for help with accessing food. We have cross-referenced it with our customer database to help support those in need and we are contacting our customers on the list to offer them priority access to ocado.com. We will continue to do our part as the Government updates its shield list.

Please note that, in order for us to identify you on the version of the shield list that the Government has shared with us, you must have signed-up for help with accessing food. If you have not declared that you require support accessing food, we will not be able to identify you on the list.

If you’re a customer living in England and you (or somebody in your household) have received a letter from the Government that has identified you as someone who is Clinically Extremely Vulnerable to Coronavirus, please visit www.gov.uk/coronavirus-extremely-vulnerable to register onto the Government’s list of people in need of support. You'll be asked for your NHS number (but you can still register if you don’t have it). You can find this on any letter the NHS has sent you or a prescription.

Remember to declare that you are in need of help with accessing food with essential supplies otherwise we won’t receive your details from the Government.

Customers living in Wales who are Clinically Extremely Vulnerable to Coronavirus due to an existing health condition should have received a letter from Wales’ Chief Medical Officer. We have received the Welsh shield list of extremely vulnerable people and have cross-referenced it with our customer database to help support those in need. If you have any other queries, please let us know by filling out and submitting our Contact Us form or calling our dedicated phone line on 0330 123 0022.

For further guidance on getting food supplies, please see the Government’s guidance on accessing food. Those who are at higher clinical risk of Coronavirus or are vulnerable can refer themselves (or a family member) for help with food and essential items from the NHS Volunteer Responders programme by calling 0808 196 3646.
